Lord, help to never forget just how much we need you, and to never lose sight of you in our daily lives…
We never want to lose sight of the fact that everything around us pales in comparison to the riches of your Kingdom, Lord. So whether we have abundance now, or in the future, never let us forget you just because times are good, God.
Don’t let us be destroyed by our own absentmindedness or sheer stupidity. Even if this pray amounts to essentially asking you not to bless us too much, we would rather have a close relationship with you, Father, than all the riches in the world. If it means blessing us with more than we can handle simply so you can drive us back into your care, then so be it, Lord. We would rather lose it all to save our souls, than to live out our lives in empty luxury.
