God. You are so good to us. You have poured out grace and mercy and forgiveness in our lives through our creation and through your ultimate sacrifice of your Son’s death on the cross and resurrection. We need only to receive your forgiveness. We don’t have to DO anything but say, “Yes, Father. Thank you!” And so, Father, help us to be conduits of your grace and forgiveness. Help us to exude love and grace and forgiveness and all of the fruits of the Spirit wherever we go. Let the lives that we touch be touched by You! Help us to forgive easily, Lord. Let the wrongs of others roll off our backs like water off a duck’s back, and let us respond with your lovingkindness, Jesus.
Lord, some of us haven’t yet truly received your grace and forgiveness in our own lives, and we can’t give what we don’t yet have from you. Our wells are dry and so we have nothing to offer others. So, Holy Spirit, right now, we open our hearts to you. We say, “Yes, Father, I receive your forgiveness!” Holy Spirit, heal our hearts and help us to truly accept your forgiveness and allow ourselves to forgive ourselves for whatever sins we may have committed in the past. We can’t walk in grace and forgiveness while we’re bogged down in shame and condemnation. Thank you for your freedom, Jesus! We love you.
