Our Families - Images of You
Father, help us to represent you in our families. Help us to be Godly husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers. Holy Spirit, reveal to us the facets of your being that we so love, and in fact can't live without, and help us to mirror those facets to our loved ones. We want a spiritually strong family, Lord. We ask for a special helping of blessing and wisdom on the fathers in this world. Help them to be strong spiritual heads of their houses. Thank you for helping us to live our lives to their fullest potential. We love you, Lord.Please join us in prayer for:
Health and healing. Pray that we would all be in good health this month. Pray for Ricardo's HIV and hepatitis levels to stay nominal. Pray against the flu and infections. Thank you so much for getting us through this week with flying colors! As we round out the week and approach the weekend, help us to relax and turn off our "work brains" and start to focus on the sacrifice that you gave so that we could be with you for eternity. Help us to also focus on spending time with our family and friends. Help us to think of ways that we can be a blessing to them. We're excited to celebrate your resurrection on Sunday. Our Church Homes
Father, thank you for our churches. We are so glad to be part of your family. Through your body, feed us, Lord, and help us to also feed our brothers and sisters. Protect us from strife and corruption. For those of us who are not yet plugged into a church, help us to find a church home that will bring us closer to you, Father. God's Precious Children
Father, thank you for being our perfect, heavenly Father. Help us to remember that each and every person on this planet is precious to you. Make our hearts tender, and impress upon us the desire that you have to spend eternity with every person that we come in contact with. Give us the words to speak to them that would remind them of the emptiness that they feel without a relationship with you, Jesus. Give us the privilege of leading someone to Christ this month. Your Power At Work
Father, thank you for the work that you're doing in the lives of our loved ones. For the friends and family that have not come to know you yet, soften their hearts. Show them the emptiness of life without you. Show them the love that you have for them even now, before they have loved you in return.For our friends and family that already know you as their savior, we pray for a deeper relationship with you. Draw them closer than ever before. Let 2007 be a year of revelation for them, and let them never be the same, Lord. Mold them into warriors and servants for you. Thank you, Jesus. We love them so much. Take care of them.
Thank you, Father, for this day. It's one day closer to the day when we will meet you face to face. That thought makes us smile. We love you, Father.
