Father, it's Monday, and we're getting started on a new week. Some part of us might be dreading today, but we know that we can do this, and we can do it with joy in our hearts. We claim your joy to be alive right now, Lord. You are our joy and our strength. Help us to make a difference in the world today. Give us several opportunities to serve you. That is our reason for living, Lord. We rolled out of bed for you! So Holy Spirit, help us to see the needs in the world, large and small, and remind us to listen for your voice so that we know what to do. Thank you for your hand in our lives, and for giving us a reason to live: the ability to be a blessing to you. God, Protect Us After Victory
Lord, when we celebrate a victory with you, that's when Satan would like to swoop in and steal the victory from us. We are so afraid of being complacent. We need you, Jesus. We can't live by ourselves. We cling to you. We don't want to be lax in our relationship with you. Protect us from temptation. If we're attacked by Satan, help us to remember to respond in the Spirit by dropping to our knees and recognizing the situation for what it is rather than just falling into despair. We have your joy in good times and in bad. We claim your joy and victory right now. We are your children, and we will not be separated from our Father. Judgment Versus Discernment
Father, help us to learn when we are judging people, and when it is your discernment in us that is making us think certain things. Destroy any haughty spirit that would make its home in our hearts. God, You're The Smartest Person I Know
You know what is best for us and our lives. You are the master of timing - You're the master of time itself! You know the hearts of everyone on the planet. You know everything that's happened and everything that will happen. So, why can't we trust you all the time!? Lord, we're here to be used completely by you. We don't want to be stubborn hearted. Change us. Use us. Thank you, Father.We ask for your healing touch for Earl. He's having trouble with his teeth. Ease his pain, and help him to find a way to pay for dental care in Copenhagen.
