Agreement in Prayer

In Matthew 18:18-19 Jesus says, "'Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. 20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.'"  We invite you to regularly agree with us in prayer so that our prayers are more effective. The reality is that when you read our prayers here and pray with us at home on your own, you are agreeing with us in prayer. However, if you post your prayer on our site, other people can agree with you in prayer, and in that way, we can gather together online. Thanks ahead of time for your prayers.

A New Week of Opportunities

Lord, as we set foot into a new week, we ask for an abundance of energy, and for a positive attitude. For those of us who are feeling a bit weary on this Monday, give us an extra portion of your grace to not only get us through, but to have your likeness shine through in us. We want everyone who we come in contact with to feel your touch in their lives. Help them to see Christ in us. We love you, Father. Help us to be the shining city on the hill and the salt of the earth. Thank you, Jesus.

Watch Over Our Idle Minds

Father, watch over our minds. We ask for the renewing of our minds this morning. When our minds wander, we want them to think about holy things, not the garbage of this world. Help us to be mindful about what we allow into our minds. We want our natural tendency to be that when we have spare time before bed or in between projects or meetings, we spend time with you or meditate on good and pure things that will edify us and be a blessing to you. Cleanse our minds, Father. Make our thoughts to be like your thoughts. Thank you, Father! In Jesus' name, we ask all these things. We love you, Lord.
