Agreement in Prayer

In Matthew 18:18-19 Jesus says, "'Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. 20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.'"  We invite you to regularly agree with us in prayer so that our prayers are more effective. The reality is that when you read our prayers here and pray with us at home on your own, you are agreeing with us in prayer. However, if you post your prayer on our site, other people can agree with you in prayer, and in that way, we can gather together online. Thanks ahead of time for your prayers.

Jesus, Thank You for This Day

Jesus, we're so grateful to be alive. In all our circumstances, we give praise to you for giving life to us and dying for our sins so that we can have it more abundantly than what is possible in the natural realm. Help us to live each day to its fullest, constantly striving to know you more. Let us be a beacon for you, Jesus. We want to put you first and we want to share you with the world. Thank you, Lord. We love you.

angela jennings prayed...

Yes Lord. So many of us strive to have more materialwise and live so empty in our spiritual lives. Help us to be better Christians in this new year of second chances and help us to spread your love and forgiveness. Thank you for your mercy and for your undying love. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Jonathan Fashbaugh prayed...

Yes, Father. Help us to stay focused on what matters most and to set aside the world's obsessions.

Draw Us Closer to You, God

Father, we want to continue to grow closer to you. As we spend time in your word, teach us more about who you are and what you want to do through us, your servants. Humble us. Show us the parts of our lives that we're trying to keep for ourselves instead of handing them over to you. We want to be wholly yours.

Keep Us Safe. In You We Have No Fear

Father, we are constantly bombarded by things that threaten to shake us to our cores. But in you, we have stability. With your comfort, we need not fear. Thank you for keeping us under control. Help us to keep our eyes trained on you and not to waiver in the pressence of adversity. Sometimes it seems like the littlest thing going wrong in our lives can send us into a tailspin. When that happens, Holy Spirit, remind us that we need only come to you in prayer to get our heads screwed on straight again. We love you. Thank you for being our foundation.

Pray for Shopaholics

Father, free us from our addictions, whatever they may be. Find those malignant parts of our hearts that would drag us down. Destroy the enemy's foothold in us so that we can return to your path for our lives. We offer ourselves up, with all sincerity. We turn toward you.

We ask specifically that you would touch Brenda's life and help her to finally be free from her addiction to shopping. Change her heart. Give her the self-control that Satan is robbing of her. Help her to set her eyes upon you and to never look away. Make her a pillar of light for her family, friends and community. Thank you, Father. We love you.

Help Us to Deal With Stress

Father, you know every kind of stress that we encounter in life. Your son came to the earth and experienced life as a mortal. Help us to deal with stress in a healthy way. Keep us healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually. Remind us that you want to carry our burdens. We need only give over our cares, laying them at your feet, allowing you to work in our lives. Then we just need to listen to your voice and do our best. You will take care of us. Your word says so. Thank you for that, Lord. We love you so much.

Our Shield

Father, thank you for being our protector. Not until we go home to you will we understand just how much you've been there for us. You are mightier than anything in the universe, and you're on our side. That just blows our minds sometimes. Thank you, Lord.

A Prayer for Family Ties

Father, in this season of togetherness, we ask that you would strengthen our family ties. Help us to be peacemakers in our families. Give us humility to set aside past hurts and grudges. Instead, we ask for an extra helping of your love and long-suffering. Help us to make this a Christmas of reconciliation and closeness. Thank you, Father.

Fighting Our Flesh

Father, we continue today, asking for your help in fighting against our flesh. Every day, we are bombarded with temptations. They range from obviously sinful to more tricky temptations like feelings of hopelessness. Holy Spirit, teach us to listen to your voice in our hearts. We don't want to rely on our brains' discernment. Instead, Lord, we want our hearts, transformed by you, to show us the truth. Search us, Father, and find the parts of us that would keep us from a closer walk with you and then help us to change. Thank you, Father. We love you.

Your Light In Us

Lord, we want to show the world what a blessing it is to be a Christian. Sometimes though, our flesh gets in the way. Help us to beat back the fleshly instincts that would tarnish us as examples of Jesus: selfishness, short tempers, crude senses of humor, etc. Continue your work to mold us into the people that you want us to be.

We lift up Ricardo to you in prayer again this morning. Help him in his battle against the HIV and Hepatitis in his body. We ask that this one year liver treatment program will be a success and that as he enters the last three months that his tests would show that his viral levels are still undetectable. Surround Ricardo with caring people that will shower him with words of encouragement. Thank you for taking good care of our brother, Lord.

We love you, Jesus. Help us to make this week before Christmas a good one. Thank you, Father.

Christmas Prayer

Jesus, help us to keep you at the forefront of our minds in this Christmas season. It's so easy for us to get caught up in the gift giving and secular holiday hubbub. We want to focus on the John 3:16 truth of the holiday: a truly holy-day. Thank you for loving us enough to commit your only son to our salvation. We love you, Father.

Our Future With You

It's exciting for us to imagine the future when you return and catch us up with you in the air, Jesus, to bring us home to spend eternity with you. Our minds can only create superficial images of what heaven might be like. What will heaven be like? Your word says that your house has many rooms. What will those rooms be like? We feel like kids who are anxious for their trip to Disney World. Most exciting is the prospect of being physically in your presence, spending eternity with you. Someday...

In the meantime, help us to be obedient and to work hard for your kingdom on this earth. When it comes time to be judged, we know that Jesus' blood will assure our entrance into heaven, but we want our lives to have made a difference in other people's lives. We want your approval on that day of judgement more than anything. We love you, Father.

Friday Prayer

Father, thank you for your grace and mercy in our lives. Help us to round out this week in a great way. We want to keep you close to our hearts always, but today especially, give us gentle reminders that you are right there with us in every moment, every step of the way. We want to be in constant prayer with you: living and laughing with you. We love you, Lord.

A Prayer for A Great Thursday

Father, give us a great Thursday. Help us to be kind to those around us, to make peace where we encounter conflict, and to be highly effective in everything that we put our hands in. Let people see the difference that Jesus has made in our lives and give us the courage to tell them that you are our reason for living. Thank you, Father.

Your Love for Everyone

Father, help us to realize that you, God of the universe, put the people you loved first when you chose to allow Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins. We need to follow your amazing example. Open our eyes to just how selfish we can be, and then change our hearts. Make us humble and selfless. Thank you, Father.

Lift Us, Lord

Father, lift our spirits when we're down. Comfort us, and remind us of the everlasting spring of joy that we have in you. Heal our bodies and help us to get back into the good fight of life. We want to shine for you, Father. We can't do it on our own, and we know that you don't want us to even try to do it on our own. We offer ourselves as living sacrifices to you, Lord. You are our only hope in life. We love you so much.

angela jennings prayed...

Yes Lord help to heal us. I ask for special healing of my husband Ron's knees and back. He is in cronic pain everyday and yet he works and goes on with his day. Please give him strength and relief from this pain and help him to find you in prayer over this. Thank you God for you loving mercy and never ending blessings. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

We Praise You, Father

Holy Father, we praise your name. Thank you for watching over us and always being there with us. Your glory is beyond comparison to anything in the universe! Evidence of your beauty is all around us. You show yourself in a child's laughter, in a sunrise, in a moment of triumph, and in tender moments of grief. Thank you for loving us, your children. We love you.

Lifter of Our Heads and Hearts

Father, thank you for giving us new minds and attitudes. We willingly accept your correction. What you have for us is much better than anything that we could muster. Show us opportunities to share your truth with those around us today. We have a cure for the disease of eternal separation from God and everlasting death. Give us the courage to share Jesus with everyone we know. You've given us such a wonderful gift. We love you so much, Father.

The Energy to Be

Father, you are our well-spring. We draw our energy to be from you. You are our reason for being. Continue to mold us into the people that you want us to be. We want to be more like you. Remove remnants of our old selves that would threaten to drag us into sin. Help us to improve our attitudes. We want everyone in our lives to see you in us and to notice that the truly important thing in our lives is first God and then others. Help us to be truly humble. Thank you, Father. We love you.

This Christmas: Turning Emotions into Encounters with God

Father, this season is ripe with emotions for everyone in the country. Some are sad, some are excited. Whatever the emotion, Father, we ask that your Holy Spirit would tug on the heart strings of every person this Christmas. Show them that the power behind Christmas really does emanate from the birth of Jesus. Help us to look past the colored lights, the garland, the candy canes, and the presents, and to really connect with the fact that you loved the world enough to send Jesus to take human form, to die a terrible death as a sacrifice for our sins, and to win the victory over death and Hell. We praise you for the miracle of Christmas, Father. Thank you.

Angela prayed...

Yes Father, your shed blood made us white as snow. Please also help us to not only remember you this season but also all those who need extra love and care this holiday. Be with those who have a need for a real gift giver and a real blessing in times of sorrow and hardship. We thank you God for all of your love and kindness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Bless This Friday

Father, thank you for helping us through this week. Thank you for the lives that were touched because of your presence in our lives. Bless us on this Friday. Keep us safe as we travel to and from wherever we need to go today. Help us to listen for your voice. Help us to guard our mouths so that we don't say anything that will hurt others. Prepare our hearts for the messages that we'll receive from our pastors this weekend. Thank you for your rich blessings in our lives, Father. We love you.
